Headaches, grinding, neck or back complaints, dizziness or poor sleep — many symptoms are connected to the bite, chewing muscles and jaw joint, and often go unrecognised for years.
CMD stands for craniomandibular dysfunction (internationally also known as TMD) — a disorder in the interplay of the jaw joint, chewing muscles and bite. Because this system is closely connected to the neck, posture and nervous system, symptoms can appear far away from the jaw.
Several points apply to you? That doesn't have to mean anything serious — but a targeted assessment is worthwhile.
An unbalanced bite can act through muscle chains all the way into the neck, back and pelvis — and vice versa. That's why we look at the possible connections and, when needed, work closely with physiotherapy and osteopathy.

Examination of the jaw joints, chewing muscles and lower-jaw movement.
When needed, in coordination with physiotherapy, osteopathy or orthopaedics.
"We don't just treat the jaw — we look for the cause, so that body and person can come to rest."
Because of the scope and complexity of the topic, this brochure was created. In a 20-minute appointment it is impossible to convey the knowledge and experience of more than 20 years.
In two or three sessions of 20 minutes' reading, however, you can take in and understand a great deal. This way many questions resolve themselves, the appointment isn't overloaded — and we can talk with each other on an equal footing while I answer your open questions.
